Author's Comments

EDIT: 5/11/2009: Was just notified that this piece won first place in the Short Story Category in Victor Valley College's Writing Contest!

Behold! The first of the pieces for my challenge! (You know, the one I posted here: [link])

The inspiration for this short story came from this image: [link] which was taken by my friend :iconhallowedsouls:

It was originally going to be a piece about a girl who's boyfriend committed suicide by drowning himself in the ocean, but I like the way it evolved into its current incarnation.

Enjoy.

This is beautiful...:+fav: I don't think I entirely get it but I love it.

"why do you wear a bell?"
Grace "my friends perfer me to wear one while I'm in society"
"Why?"
Grace "Why would any one put a bell on a cat?"
"...to keep it from killing Songbirds."
Grace " Exactly!:mwahaha:"

Wow. I love it! It has many different feels to it. I do feel like a girlfriend lost her man for some reason. It's very nice and sad too. But so beautiful! And death! I love my death!

When I see you, I smile. When you talk, I'm speechless. When you walk, I stare. What can I say... retards amuse me. :)

You’re like our brother. Step brother. Weird kid down the street who eats nothing but mayonnaise on saltines.

I love this piece...mainly because I can relate to it. But I feel that is a story for a different time. Teehee...suffice to say that I'm a little more insane than I let on. This piece made me very sad, but it's beautiful. The bit about the whale pee made me laugh.

I'm glad you didn't end up going with the suicide version. It's so much better this way.

It's wonderful, Bryn.

My favorite part was "might be a prayer or might be a curse." I love how you don't distinguish which it is.

I find your beautiful eyes see right through me, so show me what you want me to be. ~Kevin Max

I'm glad, too.

Thanks for the comment and fave, Val. ^_^
